Executive Management William R. Korslin, President, Chief Executive Officer and co- founder of Centrad Healthcare, Inc. has over thirty years of experience in related healthcare distribution businesses. Prior to founding Centrad, he was President and CEO of American Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (“APS”), a subsidiary of Mariner Post Acute Network, Inc. where he concurrently held the position of Mariner Executive Vice President. Under his direction as CEO, APS revenues grew from $43 million in 1994 to over $360 million in 1999 becoming the fifth largest institutional pharmacy in the country with over 1800 employees and 38 pharmacies doing business in 36 states. Prior to becoming CEO of APS, he held a variety of Senior Management positions in APS’ predecessor organizations. Prior to joining APS, Mr. Korslin held several management positions at National Medical Enterprises, Inc. all in its Durable Medical Equipment (“DME”) division. Prior to that, he held several management positions at American Hospital Supply Corporation, a leading distributor of medical supplies and equipment to acute care hospitals (now a subsidiary of Cardinal Health Systems). Bill has a BS in Administrative Sciences from the Southern Illinois University School of Business. Sales Management Mike Furstenau, Director of Sales has over ten years of experience developing and managing the sales function directly in Centrad’s targeted markets starting out as a sales representative shortly after Centrad began operations in ’00. Currently, eight (8) Centrad associates have sales growth as their main responsibility and another nine (9) have primarily operational duties & responsibilities but also sell. Robin Pasquarosa, CRT, Director of Respiratory Services is domiciled in Denver, Colorado and, in addition to her national role as Director Respiratory; she serves as Sales Manager for the Western Area for Centrad. Prior to joining the company, Robin was Area Manager, Respiratory Therapy for APS. Prior to that, she was co-owner of a Homecare Respiratory Therapy company in Colorado. Her background includes sales and sales management positions at Abbey Homecare, Inc. Reimbursement Management Gidgett Callaghan, Vice President, Reimbursement directs all Centrad reimbursement functions including customer service, patient intake, billing, collections and order entry, which are all centralized in the company’s General Offices located in Naperville, Illinois. Gidgett has 15 years of experience in claims processing, accounts receivable and collections management (in both Homecare and Long Term Care Markets) in the product segments currently offered by the company. Ms. Callaghan’s expertise includes knowledge of claims filing procedures with nearly all third party payors, the systems used by payors to process claims, provider number procurement, HIPAA compliance, regulatory compliance and collections. She was instrumental in developing the company’s proprietary operating system, SmA/Rt, which is used to manage Centrad’s Accounts Receivable with a diverse Payor Source Mix . Gidgett has a BS in Healthcare Management form National Louis University. Purchasing & Logistics Management Joe McCarthy, Vice President Purchasing & Logistics, manages Centrad vendor relationships and directs all vendor contract negotiations. Joe has over 25 years of experience in the area of purchasing and inventory control including over 10 years in the healthcare sector. Before co-founding Centrad, Joe served as Vice President, Purchasing for APS for five years. Preceding that, he held several inventory control, purchasing, and production management positions with Nissan Forklift Corporation. Joe has a BA in Psychology from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. All of Centrad purchasing functions are centrally located in the company’s General Offices located in Naperville, Illinois. Purchasing contracts are negotiated directly with manufacturers and all negotiated pricing is then passed through to Centrad’s Wholesale Distributor, McKesson, which provides distribution services on a contract pricing “plus” basis. Centrad’s key vendors include Ross Labs, Novartis, Sunrise Medical, McKesson, Respironics, Nestle, Kendall and Crown Therapeutics. Cost efficiencies are achieved through the company’s strategic alliances with select manufacturers and distributors who are used to ship products direct to the end user. Small re-distribution centers (“RDC’s”) located in Rocky Hill, CT; Huntsville, Mobile & Birmingham, AL; Golden, CO; Casper, WY, Far Rockaway, NY; Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Ft. Worth, TX; and, Harvard, IL; are maintained to ensure fulfillment of urgent orders, if required. Financial Services Management Jill McKay, Vice President-Controller, who is also a co-founder of the company, directs Centrad’s accounting functions including financial reporting, external audit supervision, payroll & benefits administration, accounts payable, and cash application functions. Before joining the company, Jill was Director of Financial Planning and Reporting at American Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. Prior to that, she held the position of Sr. Financial Analyst, also at APS. Jill has developed all of Centrad’s financial control and reporting systems. Jill has a BA in Accounting from Briar Cliff College. Centrad uses Great Plains for its financial reporting system. Data is output from the company’s SmA/Rt operating system and downloaded into Great Plains, which is used for Reporting, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. Jennifer Golaszewski, Cash Application Coordinator, joined the company in August of 2002. Prior to joining Centrad, Jennifer held a wide variety of operational support positions at APS including Customer Service, Billing and Systems Development and Training positions. Jennifer has an MBA from Lewis University. Michael Korslin, Vice President, Finance, joined the company in July of 2004. Prior to joining Centrad, Michael was an Investment Executive with ML Stern & Co. in San Diego, California. Michael is responsible for the development of Centrad’s capital structure including Senior and Subordinated Debt credit facilities and maintenance of the company’s lender relationships. Michael is also responsible for controlling the company’s asset management systems including the development and implementation of its inventory control and capital appropriations budget monitoring systems. Each of the company’s investments and all new business opportunities are evaluated to determine IRR prior to making the investment. He also tracks and trends the company’s key operational and financial metrics including cash flow, hold log, EBITDA and DSO performance. Michael has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance, Investment & Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Regulatory Compliance John Seegers, Co-Director of Regulatory Compliance. John joined the company in September of 2005 to audit the company’s patient follow up protocols and subsequently guided Centrad through the accreditation process along with Carolyn Seegers, after which he agreed to co-direct the company’s ongoing regulatory compliance function. John has a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and has held several acute care hospital administration positions in the VA system and also served as Administrator of Harvard Hospital in Harvard, Illinois, where one of his many achievements included adding a long term care center. John also served as Staff Operations manager at APS where, among other responsibilities, he assisted the company’s pharmacy operations with their compliance programs. Carolyn Seegers, Co-Director of Regulatory Compliance. Carolyn joined the company in September of 2005 to develop the company’s CPAP follow up compliance and supplies replacement program. She has a law degree from DePaul University in Chicago and, after some time in private practice, served as Assistant Administrator at Harvard Hospital where, among other duties, she managed the Hospital's accreditation process along with John. After leaving the acute care hospital field, she served as corporate council for APS, in which capacity she forged many of the company’s compliance programs while also overseeing the legal aspects of numerous acquisitions and other corporate affairs. After retiring from law, Carolyn assisted John in the oversight of the APS pharmacy compliance programs. In January of 2006 Carolyn joined John to spearhead the Centrad Accreditation Program, which resulted in Centrad’s full Accreditation through ACHC. Following accreditation, Carolyn agreed to co-direct the Centrad regulatory compliance program. Field Service Management Sandy Lockwood, LNHA, CSW serves as Centrad Eastern Area Field Service Manager. Prior to joining Centrad, Sandy was Field Service Representative at APS in New York. Sandy’s work experience includes Long Term Care Administration, Sales & Marketing and Social Services. Her background encompasses 18 years of professional healthcare experience. Sandy is both a licensed nursing home administrator and certified social worker. Sandy holds a Bachelors of Arts , Sociology Degree from Rutgers College, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator—1995 and Certified Social Worker--1994 |
